Riyadh (HRNW)- According to the Saudi Press Agency, prayers for supplication were offered in all regions of Saudi Arabia yesterday to ask Allah for rain.
According to Saudi media, these prayers were offered during the drought and late arrival of rain in accordance with the Sunnah of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) so that rain can fall throughout the country by the grace and mercy of Allah.
According to reports, on the instructions of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, people attended this spiritual ceremony by visiting mosques and special places for supplication in different cities, provinces, centers and villages.
In addition, the Grand Mufti also appealed to the people across the country to pray for rain.
In Islam, the supplication prayer is a special prayer consisting of two rak’ahs, in which people ask Allah for forgiveness and pray for rain.
This prayer is usually offered with a sermon, in which the imam emphasizes the importance of the people asking Allah for forgiveness and praying for rain.
In addition to Saudi Arabia, Arab countries such as Syria and Qatar have called on people to pray Istisqa prayers after the growing crisis of drought and record low rainfall in the Middle East.
In Syria, Istisqa prayers will be offered across the country today on the instructions of the Ministry of Awqaf. The ministry has asked people to fast for three days before the prayer, return lost rights and participate in the prayer with collective repentance and forgiveness.
According to Qatar News Agency, people performed Istisqa prayers yesterday at the appeal of Qatar’s Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.
The Emir of Qatar led the prayer with thousands of worshippers at the Lusail Mosque in Doha.
