Gaza (HRNW)- Hamas spokesman Abu Ubaida has announced that demands to force the organization to surrender are unacceptable and are tantamount to prolonging Israel’s ongoing genocide.
According to Arab media, Hamas’ armed wing said that until Israel fully implements the first phase of the ceasefire in Gaza, discussing the issue of surrender before that is tantamount to continuing the genocide against the Palestinian people.
Abu Ubaida added that raising the issue of weapons in a crude manner would not be acceptable.
It should be noted that efforts are underway to make a ceasefire possible between Israel and Hamas under US President Donald Trump’s 20-point plan, however, Hamas’s refusal to surrender has become a major obstacle to this plan.
According to the Palestinian news agency Wafa, more than 705 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli attacks since October, despite mediation by the US and Qatar.
