Mayors Criticize Netanyahu Government as Hezbollah Attacks Cause Panic and Destruction

Northern Israel (HRNW)- The situation in northern Israel has reached a critical point following Israeli attacks on Lebanon and retaliatory actions by Hezbollah, prompting local representatives to strongly criticize the Netanyahu government for failing to protect citizens.

Mayors and council heads in the region say continuous attacks have spread fear and panic, leaving communities insecure. The mayor of Margaliot described widespread destruction in his city, stating that it feels as if Israel has handed over its security to Lebanon, with residents left to fend for themselves. Similarly, the mayor of Kiryat Shmona revealed that two-thirds of the city’s population has fled, warning that more residents may be forced to migrate if the situation persists.

Experts warn that the growing unrest in northern Israel is emerging as a major challenge for the government, severely affecting civilian life and public morale.
