Pakistani Citizen Among Two Killed by Missile Debris, Several Injured

Abu Dhabi (HRNW)- Two people, including a Pakistani citizen, have been killed and several others injured after debris from a ballistic missile fell in the Suwaijan area of Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates. Officials said the Emirati air defense system successfully destroyed the missile mid-air, but falling fragments caused fatalities, property damage, and severe damage to vehicles.

The Pakistani embassy in the UAE confirmed the death of its citizen, expressed condolences to the family, and assured that arrangements are underway to repatriate the body. At least three other people sustained injuries and received immediate medical attention.

This incident raises broader security concerns, as eight foreign nationals have lost their lives so far due to Iranian missile attacks in the Emirates amid recent regional tensions. Experts warn that while air defense systems intercept most attacks, falling debris continues to pose a significant threat to urban areas.
