Karachi (HRNW)- Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman, Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan, expressed deep regret over reports regarding the martyrdom of Ali Khamenei, stating that the loss is not only for Iran but for the entire Muslim Ummah.

Speaking at a press conference in Karachi, Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman strongly condemned what he described as unprovoked actions against Iran, criticizing the roles of the United States and Israel. He termed the attack a violation of international law and the UN Charter and called targeting a country’s leadership “the worst form of state terrorism.”

He announced that funeral prayers in absentia for the martyrs would be offered across the country and said there is deep grief and anger throughout the Islamic world. He urged the international community to take immediate notice of the situation.

The Jamaat-e-Islami chief also stated that Pakistan should reassess its foreign policy approach and strengthen ties with regional powers including China and Russia. He emphasized that Pakistan should maintain relations with all countries but not compromise on principles.

Addressing regional tensions, he said that conflict between Pakistan and Afghanistan is not in the interest of either side and called for dialogue to resolve differences. He stressed the need for national unity and urged the government to engage all political parties in discussions.
