Karachi Police Intensify Crackdown: 6 Robbers Killed, Over 1,100 Suspects Arrested in Week-Long Operations

Karachi (HRNW)- In the light of the orders of Additional Inspector General of Police Karachi Azad Khan, Karachi Police has carried out effective and successful operations against criminal elements across the city.

According to the police spokesperson, during the past one week, 37 encounters took place with the district police in anti-crime operations, during which 6 robbers were killed and 37 were injured in the exchange of fire. As a result of these operations, a total of 52 suspects were arrested. 47 different types of illegal weapons and 18 motorcycles were recovered from the possession of the arrested suspects.

It was further informed that the police arrested a total of more than 1141 suspects in the East, West and South zones of Karachi.

During the ongoing campaign against drugs, the police raided different areas and recovered 19 kg 910 grams of hashish, 1 kg 644 grams of ice/crystal and heroin worth lakhs of rupees.

More than 136 different types of illegal weapons and ammunition used in looting and crimes were also recovered from the suspects arrested in police encounters and other operations.

Karachi Police, while conducting operations in different areas, recovered a total of 36 stolen motorcycles and 2 large vehicles.

Police officials say that operations will continue in the future to eliminate crime in the city, restore law and order, and ensure the safety of citizens.
