Karachi (HRNW) – The Judicial Commission, headed by Justice Agha Faisal, has formally issued notices to several departments and high-ranking officials as part of the ongoing investigation into the Gul Plaza tragedy. Among those summoned is Tanveer Pasta, President of Gul Plaza, along with the Senior Director of Land, Chief Fire Officer, Deputy Commissioner (South), and SSP City. Notices were also dispatched to the Medico-Legal Officer of Civil Hospital and the DIG Traffic.
Furthermore, the commission has summoned the CEO of the Water Corporation, the Director General of the Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA), the DG of Rescue 1122, and the CEO of K-Electric. All concerned authorities have been directed to appear before the commission on February 18 to assist in the investigation. The commission aims to conduct a detailed assessment of the causes of the incident, evaluate the effectiveness of the rescue operations, and identify administrative lapses to prevent such tragedies in the future.
