Federal Court and Tribunal Employees Protest in Islamabad Over Allowance Cuts

Islamabad (HRNW) – Employees of federal courts and tribunals staged a protest in front of the Pakistan Secretariat, with staff from accountability courts, federal anti-corruption courts, and various other judicial bodies participating in the demonstration. The protesters expressed their grievances against the government’s decision to abolish three special allowances, stating that this move has significantly exacerbated their financial hardships. They demanded the immediate restoration of these allowances to help them cope with the rising cost of living and high inflation.

During the protest, the employees warned that their demonstrations would continue until their demands are met and the allowances are reinstated. They characterized the government’s decision to withdraw these benefits as an unjust act that is deeply discouraging for judicial staff. The protesters emphasized that such measures undermine the morale of the workforce and vowed to maintain pressure on the authorities until a favorable resolution is achieved.
