Islamabad (HRNW) – Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and President Asif Ali Zardari have extended their heartfelt congratulations to Tarique Rahman, Chairman of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), following his party’s decisive victory in the recent parliamentary elections.
In a message shared on his official X (formerly Twitter) account, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif stated that the electoral process is a testament to the democratic commitment of the Bangladeshi people. He also congratulated the nation on the successful and peaceful conduct of the polls. Expressing a strong desire for close cooperation with the new leadership, the Prime Minister emphasized that Pakistan and Bangladesh will work together to further strengthen their historic, brotherly, and multifaceted bilateral ties. He noted that mutual cooperation would help advance shared goals of peace, stability, and development in the region, ensuring positive progress on an international scale.
President Asif Ali Zardari also felicitated Tarique Rahman on his success, reaffirming Pakistan’s support for a strong democratic partnership and shared regional progress.
