KARACHI (HRNW): Following the timely directives and immediate action ordered by DIG West Zone Irfan Ali Baloch, the Azizabad Police have successfully apprehended two suspects involved in a high-profile kidnapping-for-ransom case within a few hours. The operation was carried out using advanced technical surveillance and a strategic tactical approach to ensure the safety of the victims.
The arrested suspects reportedly operated by luring women with fake job offers, subsequently kidnapping them and demanding ransom from their families. In the most recent incident, the suspects invited a woman under the pretext of a job opportunity before abducting her along with her three young children. They then contacted her husband to demand a ransom for their release. Acting promptly on the husband’s report, the police team tracked the suspects, arrested them, and recovered the woman and all three children safely.
Police officials confirmed that the mobile phones and SIM cards used to demand the ransom were recovered from the possession of the arrested individuals. While the suspects’ prior criminal records are being scrutinized, further investigations are currently underway to uncover more details of their operations. DIG West Zone Irfan Ali Baloch praised the Azizabad police team for their professional and effective action, reiterating that the protection of citizens’ lives and property remains the top priority of the police force.
