Tehran (HRNW)- Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi has confirmed that Iran’s Fordow nuclear facility has suffered severe and serious damage as a result of the US airstrike.

In an interview with US media, Abbas Araqchi said that the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran is making a full assessment of the damage, the report of which will be presented to the Iranian government soon.

It should be recalled that the US carried out airstrikes on three of Iran’s nuclear facilities — Fordow, Natanz and Isfahan — on June 22. US President Donald Trump claimed that these facilities had been successfully destroyed, especially the Fordow facility, which had been completely disabled.

However, according to reports published in US media, US intelligence assessments have stated that the attacks on nuclear facilities did not completely damage Iran’s basic nuclear material.

In this regard, Iran has not yet allowed any international inspection by the IAEA (International Atomic Energy Agency), and recently Iran has also officially announced the suspension of cooperation with the agency.
