Karachi (HRNW)- Intense heat is expected to persist across Karachi throughout the day, with the maximum temperature forecast to remain between 38°C and 40°C, according to a meteorological analyst.
The “feels-like” temperature in several parts of the city could reach between 42°C and 48°C, increasing discomfort for residents.
Thunderclouds are expected to develop over suburban areas after 12:00 PM or 1:00 PM due to the convergence of winds near the city.
Areas including Bahria Town, DHA City, Gadap, Bijar, Dumba Goth, Scheme 33, Malir, Gulshan-e-Hadeed, Gulshan-e-Maymar, Port Qasim, Steel Town and adjoining localities could experience dust storms accompanied by thunderstorms and rain.
There is also a 45% to 60% chance of light to moderate rainfall in other parts of Karachi. However, rainfall activity is expected to remain limited in central areas due to the weakening monsoon system.
Residents are advised to remain cautious during periods of intense heat and changing weather conditions, particularly in areas where dust storms and thunderstorms are expected.
