Karachi (HRNW) — Employees of the Edhi Foundation staged a protest outside the Karachi Press Club against an alleged robbery at an Edhi Centre in Karachi.
The protest is being led by Edhi Foundation Chairman Faisal Edhi, with employees of the Edhi Centre and their family members participating.
The protesters expressed serious concern over the robbery and called for immediate and effective action against those responsible.
Members of civil society and representatives of the Karachi Press Club were also present to express solidarity with the protesting employees.
The protesters said that the Edhi Foundation is an organization dedicated to public service and humanitarian assistance, and that ensuring the safety and security of its centres and staff should be the responsibility of the relevant state institutions.
