Karachi (HRNW) – A representative delegation of traders, led by Sindh Traders Alliance Patron-in-Chief Atiq Mir and Chairman Sharif Memon, met with DIG Traffic Karachi Pir Muhammad Shah at his office to discuss traffic-related issues faced by the business community.
During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on various challenges faced by traders in Karachi, including illegal parking, encroachments, traffic flow problems, and difficulties in major commercial areas such as M.A. Jinnah Road, Tower, Liaquatabad, and other business hubs.
The traders’ delegation highlighted these issues and requested immediate and effective measures for their resolution.
DIG Traffic Karachi Pir Muhammad Shah assured the delegation that traders’ concerns would be addressed on a priority basis. During the meeting, it was agreed to establish a joint coordination committee between Traffic Police and Sindh Traders Alliance to ensure continuous communication and cooperation.
It was also decided to create a joint WhatsApp group for immediate coordination, complaints, suggestions, and consultations so that issues could be resolved promptly through mutual cooperation.
The meeting further agreed that joint measures would be taken to improve traffic flow in M.A. Jinnah Road, Tower, Liaquatabad, and other major commercial areas, eliminate illegal parking, control encroachments, and improve the overall traffic management system.
Both sides also agreed in principle to establish a complaint cell to address concerns related to traffic police personnel, ensuring quick and transparent resolution of traders’ complaints.
The Sindh Traders Alliance delegation welcomed the progress and expressed hope that stronger coordination between Traffic Police and the business community would help reduce difficulties faced by traders and improve traffic conditions across Karachi.
