IG Sindh Visits Rescue 1122 Headquarters and Command & Control Center

Karachi (HRNW)Inspector General of Sindh Police Javed Alam Odho visited the headquarters and Command & Control Center of Rescue 1122, where he was given a detailed briefing on the emergency response system, operational mechanisms, and modern facilities of the organization.

Upon his arrival at the Rescue 1122 headquarters, Director General Rescue 1122 Brigadier (Retd.) Sabghatullah Mehr, Chief Operating Officer Dr. Abid Jalal Sheikh, and other senior officers warmly welcomed the IG Sindh. A formal guard of honor was also presented by Rescue 1122 personnel.

During the visit, IG Sindh was briefed about various rescue equipment, emergency vehicles, and operational facilities. He reviewed the functioning of the Emergency Response System, call monitoring process, dispatch mechanism, and modern control room operations.

The Director General Rescue 1122 provided a detailed briefing on the Command & Control Center mechanism, the establishment of Rescue 1122, its objectives, and future targets.

Speaking on the occasion, IG Sindh Javed Alam Odho said that the Sindh Government established Rescue 1122 to provide emergency services, and the institution has demonstrated exceptional performance within a short period.

He stated that Sindh Police and Rescue 1122 work together during emergencies and critical incidents, adding that such interactions strengthen coordination, communication, and effective response between institutions.

The IG Sindh emphasized that providing timely, effective, and quality emergency services to citizens is a primary responsibility of every relevant institution. He highlighted the importance of adopting modern technology, digital monitoring systems, and enhanced professional capabilities in rescue operations.

IG Sindh praised the Rescue 1122 staff, describing them as highly professional and experienced. He said all relevant institutions are working through mutual cooperation and coordinated strategies to protect the lives and property of citizens.

He further stated that special attention is being given to the training of rescue personnel, capacity building, and availability of modern equipment. He added that Sindh Police is also providing training support to Rescue 1122 personnel.

The IG Sindh stressed the need for effective planning to ensure timely response during any emergency situation and appreciated the services and professional dedication of Rescue 1122 officers and personnel.

At the conclusion of the visit, IG Sindh Javed Alam Odho and DG Rescue 1122 exchanged commemorative shields as a gesture of cooperation and mutual appreciation.
