Quetta (HRNW): The family of Dr. Mahnoor, a young lady doctor who recently survived a horrific acid attack in Quetta, has categorically refuted the ongoing social media narratives surrounding the incident, stating that the viral reports completely lack factual truth.
Rejection of Harassment and Proposal Narratives
Speaking to Media, the victim’s family strongly denied widespread internet claims suggesting that Dr. Mahnoor was facing prolonged harassment or that the assault was triggered by a rejected marriage proposal. The family clarified that the various speculative motives being circulated across multiple digital platforms are entirely baseless and contrary to the actual facts of the case.
Appeal Against Unverified Information
The family members emphasized that no official statement has been formally released by them regarding the tragic incident until now.
“We urge the general public and social media users not to believe or propagate unverified news, fabricated stories, and speculative rumors,” a family representative stated, requesting privacy during this incredibly challenging time.
While law enforcement agencies continue to investigate the assault from all angles to apprehend the perpetrators, the victim’s family maintained that they will only comment further once the official investigation concludes and the true facts are established by the authorities.
