LAHORE (HRNW) – Sudden dark clouds brought heavy rain, thunder, and hailstorm activity to several areas of Lahore, providing much-needed relief from the intense heat.
Rain accompanied by strong winds turned the weather pleasant in areas including Mall Road, Jail Road, and Gulberg.
According to the Meteorological Department, the rain-producing weather system is relatively weak and the clouds are expected to clear soon, after which hot weather conditions are likely to return.
Meanwhile, on the instructions of the Managing Director of WASA, operational staff were directed to remain present in the field to ensure timely drainage of rainwater and prevent urban flooding.
