Islamabad (HRNW)- Pakistan has warned India against any military or strategic adventure under the guise of the Pahalgam incident, stressing that such actions could seriously threaten regional peace and stability. Pakistan also stated that it had exposed India’s alleged intentions to the international community even before any aggression took place. On May 2, 2025, Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Asim Iftikhar Ahmed, told the world body that India’s actions pose a serious threat to regional peace and security. He emphasized that Pakistan does not seek an increase in tensions with India and has made its position clear at every diplomatic level, while also affirming that the country is fully prepared to defend its sovereignty and territorial integrity. He further stated that any form of water aggression by India would be considered a declaration of war. Pakistan has also expressed willingness to accept United Nations mediation to ease tensions and promote peace in the region.
