Lahore (HRNW)- Chairman of the Pakistan Ulema Council, Hafiz Tahir Mahmood Ashrafi, said that Pakistan, once accused of spreading terrorism, is now being recognized globally as a land of peace. Speaking at a press conference at Jamia Manzoor Islamia in Lahore, Allama Tahir Ashrafi thanked Allah on the completion of what he described as a one-year struggle for truth, stating that its success is being celebrated in madrasas and mosques across the country. He credited Pakistan’s achievements to divine mercy and the sacrifices of the Pakistan Army, saying the nation stood united in the face of aggression and gave a strong response when challenged. He also highlighted the sacrifices made by religious scholars in the fight against terrorism and emphasized unity among religious leaders and the nation for the security and stability of Pakistan. Ashrafi further spoke about Muslim unity, regional peace, and the importance of promoting love, brotherhood, and solidarity within the Muslim Ummah. He also addressed personal and political matters during the press conference, reaffirming his stance on national unity and support for Pakistan’s institutions.
