Islamabad (HRNW)- Security forces killed 21 Khawarij belonging to the Indian-sponsored Fitna-ul-Khawarij in various operations across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa between September 3 and 5, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
The ISPR said 10 more Khawarij were killed after security forces successfully targeted a group hiding near the Pak-Afghan border in North Waziristan. In another operation in the area, seven Khawarij were eliminated, while four others were killed during separate joint operations in Kohat and Dera Ismail Khan.
Security forces are continuing sanitization operations to eliminate remaining militants. The ISPR said the incidents along the Pak-Afghan border reinforce Pakistan’s position that Afghan soil continues to be used for cross-border terrorism against Pakistan.
The security forces and law enforcement agencies remain committed to countering terrorism and protecting Pakistan’s borders, with operations continuing under the Federal Apex Committee to eradicate foreign-sponsored terrorism.
