Govt Plans Major Trade Reforms in Upcoming Budget to Boost Economy

Islamabad (HRNW)- The government has decided to take important reform measures to promote trade and improve the economy in the budget of the next fiscal year.

According to sources, more than 2,600 unnecessary trade barriers imposed on imports and exports will be removed in a phased manner. The aim of this step is to facilitate the business environment and promote domestic and foreign investment.

Sources said that initially 60 to 70 unnecessary restrictions will be removed in the new budget, which have been a barrier to trade for a long time. The government is of the opinion that these measures will improve trade activities and help in promoting exports.
