Karachi (HRNW)- PIA Board Considers Salary Increase, New Boeing Aircraft and Fleet Repairs
The PIA Board, chaired by Chairman Lieutenant General (retd) Anwar Ali Haider, held an important meeting in Karachi to discuss key matters related to the airline’s operations and future plans.
PIA Chief Financial Officer presented a proposal for an increase in employees’ salaries, while the board was briefed on plans to acquire two Boeing aircraft on wet lease. The matters are expected to be finalized soon.
The board also decided to repair grounded Boeing aircraft and add them back to the fleet at the earliest. Spare parts are being purchased for the repair work.
The meeting further reviewed the recruitment of new air hostesses and proposed changes to PIA’s dress code.
