-
Israeli Military Losses: During clashes in Southern Lebanon, one Israeli soldier was killed and nine others were wounded. The Israeli military stated that one of the injured soldiers remains in critical condition.
United Nations Response:
UN Secretary-General António Guterres strongly condemned the ceasefire violations and the targeting of peacekeepers. In an official statement, he emphasized:
“Attacks on peacekeepers are unacceptable. These attacks must stop immediately. All parties must adhere to the ceasefire and bring an end to hostilities.”
Regional Situation:
The persistent targeting of Southern Lebanon is being viewed as a blatant violation of the established ceasefire terms. International observers warn that these continued provocations risk reigniting full-scale conflict and further destabilizing the humanitarian situation in the region.
