CM Maryam Nawaz Orders Fast-Track Completion of Cancer Treatment Institute in Three Shifts

Lahore (HRNW)- Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has set a clear target for the early completion of the Nawaz Sharif Institute of Cancer Treatment and Research and has issued instructions to complete the construction work in three shifts.

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif paid a virtual visit to the Nawaz Sharif Institute of Cancer Treatment and Research and took a digital tour of various departments of the hospital. During the visit, she made a detailed review of the main entrance hall, radiology department, mammography suite, CT scan room and other departments.

The Chief Minister also inspected the radiology therapy unit, treatment planning room, simulator, state-of-the-art setting room and AHU room and expressed satisfaction with the facilities. She directed that the patients in the hospital should be provided with modern and effective treatment facilities as per international standards.

On this occasion, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif ordered the appointment of the best and experienced professionals on the Dean, Director and other important posts of the hospital. The administration was informed that 219 vacancies have been advertised for NSICT&R, out of which 32 candidates have been selected.

It was further informed that a total of 415 vacancies have been approved in the institution, for which advertisements will be issued next week. The Chief Minister said that this project will prove to be a milestone for cancer patients in Punjab and the government will ensure its timely completion.
