Lahore (HRNW)- Punjab Goods Transporters Association Provincial General Secretary Javed Akhtar Malik has sent a formal petition to the IG Punjab, Lahore against the alleged misbehavior of the patrolling police and traffic police, bribery, unduly heavy fines and difficulties faced in obtaining driving licenses.
The petition has taken the position that transporters are facing severe difficulties due to unnecessary challans, unfair fines and complicated licensing procedures, which are affecting business activities. Javed Akhtar Malik has demanded that immediate notice be taken of the illegal challans, the attitude of police personnel be improved and the process of obtaining driving licenses be made easy and transparent.
The association has expressed the hope that the IG Punjab will take serious notice of this matter and take immediate steps so that the problems faced by transporters can be effectively resolved.
