Islamabad (HRNW)- General Syed Asim Munir has made telephone contact with senior officials of Iran and the United States in the context of increasing tension in the Middle East. According to Reuters, a comprehensive plan for a ceasefire has been received by both countries from Pakistan.
Reuters claims that the proposed ceasefire agreement has been named the “Islamabad Agreement”, which aims to immediately reduce tension and restore peace in the region. According to the news agency, consensus on this plan for a ceasefire in the Middle East has been declared inevitable today.
According to the report, if an agreement is reached between the parties, an immediate ceasefire will be implemented, while the Strait of Hormuz, which is very important for global trade, will also be reopened.
