Pakistan Declines Comment on Reported Iran-US Ceasefire Framework

Islamabad (HRNW) – Pakistani officials have declined to comment on any proposed framework or 45-day ceasefire offer to end the ongoing war between Iran and the United States.

Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Tahir Hassan Indrani told Al Jazeera that various reports have emerged to end the US and Israeli war against Iran, including 15-point proposals and proposed ceasefire plans, but Pakistan does not comment on individual or specific cases.

The spokesperson clarified that Pakistan’s position is focused on supporting and guiding the peace process and that it is playing a diplomatic role rather than becoming a party to any conflict.

The move is being seen as an attempt to maintain Pakistan’s neutral and mediating role.
