Islamabad (HRNW) – A family has filed a complaint at Golra Police Station against two police officials and another individual, alleging the abduction, unlawful confinement, and sexual assault of a 17-year-old girl in Islamabad.
According to the family, the girl, who lived in a slum area near Sector F-11/2 and worked to support her family, was allegedly detained by police officials under the beggary law. They alleged that she was later taken to a house located in Dharek Mohri, where she was allegedly kept for several days and subjected to sexual assault.
The family claimed that they managed to recover the girl on their own; however, they could not immediately pursue legal action due to the sudden death of the girl’s mother.
According to the relatives, the girl later went missing again under mysterious circumstances, after which the distressed family submitted an application against two police officials and another person at Golra Police Station.
The family has alleged that instead of taking immediate legal action, they have been repeatedly visiting the police station and are facing delays in the registration of their complaint.
The police’s official response regarding the allegations has not yet been released. A transparent investigation is required to determine the facts and establish responsibility.
