Afghan Taliban Drone Attacks Intercepted; Civilians Injured in Quetta, Kohat, and Rawalpindi

Rawalpindi, Pakistan (HRNW) — On 13 March 2026, the Afghan Taliban launched several rudimentary drones in an attempt to harass the people of Pakistan. The drones were successfully intercepted through both soft and hard kill measures, preventing them from reaching their intended targets.

However, debris from the drones caused injuries to two children in Quetta and one civilian each in Kohat and Rawalpindi. These attacks appear aimed at instilling fear among the public, reflecting the terrorist mindset of the Afghan Taliban. While the Afghan Taliban portray themselves as victims to garner global sympathy, they continue to actively target civilians through terrorist proxies and drone attacks.

Pakistan’s people and its Armed Forces remain fully aware of the true nature and intentions of the terrorist militia-for-hire that controls Afghanistan.

Pakistan’s ongoing Operation Ghazab-lil-Haq will continue until the Afghan Taliban address Pakistan’s core security concerns regarding terrorism emanating from Afghan soil. The Armed Forces of Pakistan remain steadfast in defending the nation against terrorism and its manifestations, including drone attacks by the Afghan Taliban. Pakistan will continue to protect its citizens and will not waver in the face of provocations from the Afghan Taliban.
