Bannu (HRNW) – A terrorist attack targeted security forces in the district of Bannu, located in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, resulting in the martyrdom of three personnel, including a lieutenant colonel of the Pakistan Army.
According to initial reports, a suicide bomber riding a motorcycle attacked a convoy of security forces. Lieutenant Colonel Sahibzada Gul Faraz and two other personnel were martyred on the spot as a result of the blast.
Following the incident, security forces cordoned off the area and launched a search operation. The injured were immediately shifted to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. Security agencies have initiated an investigation and are continuing efforts to trace those involved in the attack.
Paying tribute to the fallen personnel, officials stated that the nation and security forces remain united in the fight against terrorism and vowed to thwart the malicious intentions of hostile elements.
