Sydney (HRNW) – Australian cricketer Usman Khawaja has reportedly spent millions of dollars from his retirement fund to construct a mosque and madrasa, where the first Taraweeh prayers have already been offered.
According to reports, Khawaja used money earned through his cricket career to establish a place dedicated to providing free Quran education for children. The funds, which could have been invested in business ventures or personal luxuries, were instead directed toward community and religious development.
Social media users and members of the public have widely praised Khawaja’s initiative, describing it as an exemplary act of generosity and service to humanity.
Many people have also offered prayers, asking that his efforts and wealth be accepted and rewarded abundantly.
