NEW YORK (HRNW) – The 70th session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW70) will take place at the UN Headquarters from March 9 to 19, 2026. The priority theme for this year is “Women’s full and effective participation and decision-making in public life.” Representatives from member states and NGOs worldwide will gather to address the elimination of violence against women and the empowerment of girls. The session comes at a critical time as activists report a global “pushback” on gender equality and reproductive rights.
