The NA-18 election irregularity case will also be heard on this occasion, for which the Election Commission has also issued notices to Shehr Naz Omar Ayub and Babar Nawaz. Shehr Naz had filed a complaint of irregularity in the by-election.

It should be noted that earlier, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi had not appeared before the Election Commission for violating the code of conduct in the by-election in NA-96 Haripur, and a notice was issued to him to appear in his personal capacity.

This step of the Election Commission has been taken to ensure compliance with the election code of conduct and to attract all candidates and government officials towards a transparent election process.
