Baghdad (HRNW)- The 27th International Book Fair in Baghdad is underway with record international participation, bringing together more than 600 publishers and cultural and research institutions from 28 countries.
A total of 618 publishers and institutions from 17 Arab and 11 non-Arab countries are participating in this year’s event, marking the highest international participation in the fair’s history.
Tens of thousands of new books are being showcased at the fair. China is participating for the first time, while Oman has returned to the event after a 27-year absence.
The book fair will continue until September 12, 2026, under the theme “Baghdad, the Capital of Islamic Culture.”
