The World Health Organization has warned that attacks on humanitarian infrastructure are putting vital medical supplies at risk after three WHO humanitarian warehouses in Ukraine were destroyed or damaged over a three-month period.
WHO said an air attack on 3 September destroyed one of its main warehouses in the Kyiv region that stored humanitarian medical supplies. Access to the site remained restricted because of heavy smoke and safety concerns while assessments of damage and stock losses continued.
No WHO personnel were reported injured in the latest incident.
The agency said the repeated attacks threaten the ability of humanitarian partners to maintain medical supplies and deliver health assistance to communities affected by the war.
