Islamabad (HRNW)- The final decision to end the free electricity facility provided to officers and employees in the power sector has been taken. According to sources, the Power Information and Technology Company has completed the necessary amendments in the billing system and sent an official letter to the heads of all companies.
It has been reported that the company has made changes in the billing procedure in light of the orders of the High Court, after which a software update has also been completed to end the free electricity supply system.
According to sources, the free electricity facility provided to officers and employees will be discontinued from the current month’s billing cycle.
Officials say that the aim of this decision is to bring transparency in the system and eliminate unnecessary incentives, while future billing will be done completely under the new system.
