KARACHI (HRNW ): The spokesperson for SSP District Central, Dr. Muhammad Imran Khan (PSP), has released a detailed performance report for April 2026. The report highlights that District Central Police demonstrated professional excellence through vigorous operations against street crime, drug trafficking, and other serious offenses.
Key operations and achievements for April include:
Street Crime and Police Encounters

A total of 56 police encounters took place against street criminals across the city.

During these encounters, 11 suspects were killed while 57 were arrested in injured condition.

Overall, 35 criminal gangs were exposed and 141 suspects were caught red-handed.
Illegal Weapons and Recoveries

151 cases were registered against individuals possessing illegal weapons, resulting in 142 arrests.

Authorities recovered 150 pistols, 1 rifle, and 297 rounds of ammunition from the suspects.
Recovery of Snatched Property

To ensure the protection of citizens’ property, 3 four-wheeled vehicles, 73 motorcycles, and 105 mobile phones were recovered.
Crackdown on Drugs and Gutka/Mawa

In the fight against drug peddling, 103 suspects were arrested across 95 registered cases.

Recovered narcotics included 33.5 kg of hashish, as well as heroin, ice, and liquor bottles.

In operations against the manufacturing of Gutka and Mawa, 176 suspects were arrested and 9 factories were sealed.
Arrest of Wanted Criminals

12 proclaimed offenders (POs) and 74 absconders wanted in various serious cases were apprehended and brought to justice.
According to the police spokesperson, these effective operations will continue to maintain law and order and ensure the safety of citizens’ lives and property.
