ISLAMABAD (HRNW): President Asif Ali Zardari, acting on the recommendation of the Prime Minister, has approved the PIA Corporation (Conversion) (Repeal) Ordinance, 2026. This ordinance addresses the legal requirements necessary to complete the transfer of specific assets belonging to Pakistan International Airlines (PIA).
The assets included in this transfer process are:

Planetariums: The PIA Planetariums located in Karachi, Lahore, and Peshawar (Hayatabad Phase II).

Land Holdings: Land in Gulshan-e-Iqbal (Karachi) and the Old University Ground (Lahore).

Sports Facilities: The Jahangir Khan Sports Complex land on Kashmir Road (Karachi) and the football ground in KDA Scheme 1.

Offices: The Dyal Singh Mansion office situated on Empress Road, Lahore.
