Imran Khan Moved to PIMS for Eye Check-up; Doctors Report Steady Recovery

ISLAMABAD (HRNW): Former Prime Minister Imran Khan was shifted from Adiala Jail to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) late last night for a specialized eye examination. During the visit, a board of medical experts administered the fourth injection as part of his ongoing treatment plan.

An Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) scan conducted during the visit indicated significant improvement in his condition. Following the check-up, the medical board declared him fully healthy and stable.


Medical Background and Treatment:

  • Diagnosis: Imran Khan was diagnosed with Central Retinal Vein Occlusion (CRVO) in January. The condition requires regular follow-up visits and specialized injections to manage vision health.

  • Current Status: After the completion of necessary medical procedures at PIMS, he was shifted back to Adiala Jail on Tuesday morning.

  • Prognosis: Doctors expressed satisfaction with the progress of the treatment, noting that the retinal condition is responding well to the prescribed medical intervention.
