Petrol Prices Likely to Remain Unchanged in Pakistan Despite Global Oil Surge

Islamabad (HRNW)- The prices of petroleum products in Pakistan are likely to remain unchanged for the current week. According to sources, the decision to change the prices of petroleum products is taken keeping in mind the revenue targets and overall financial situation, while the final approval will be given by the Prime Minister.

On the other hand, due to the ongoing tension in the Middle East, crude oil prices have once again increased in the global market. Brent crude oil has crossed $106.18 per barrel while Merbin crude has crossed $105 per barrel. Similarly, the price of West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude oil has also increased to $96.73 per barrel.

According to experts, fluctuations in global oil prices have a direct impact on other importing countries including Pakistan, however, in the current situation, a strategy to keep prices stable is likely to be adopted.
