Zaman Town Police Raid Gambling Den; Seven Suspects Arrested with Cash and Mobile Phones

KARACHI (HRNW): As part of the ongoing crackdown against social evils in the East Zone, the Korangi District Police successfully conducted a targeted operation against a gambling den within the jurisdiction of the Zaman Town Police Station. Acting on credible intelligence, police teams raided the location and arrested seven suspects caught red-handed while engaging in illegal gambling activities.

Details of the Arrested Individuals:

The suspects have been identified as:

  1. Noor-ul-Amin (s/o Qurban Ali)

  2. Noor Nabi (s/o Abdul Ghaffar)

  3. Rizwan (s/o Abdul Mannan)

  4. Ibrahim (s/o Ismail)

  5. Mohammad Saleem (s/o Mohammad Mustafa)

  6. Irfan (s/o Abdul Shakoor)

  7. Noor-ul-Islam (s/o Naeem-ud-Din)

Recoveries and Legal Action:

  • Cash Seizure: Police recovered 28,000 PKR in cash used for betting.

  • Assets: Seven mobile phones and two decks of playing cards were also taken into custody.

  • Case Filing: A formal case (FIR No. 394/2026) has been registered against the accused under Section 5/A of the Gambling Act.

Authorities are currently scrutinizing the previous criminal records of the arrested men to determine if they are involved in other organized crimes. The suspects have been handed over to the Investigation Department for further questioning. The Korangi District Police reaffirmed their commitment to purging the area of activities that undermine social stability.
