KARACHI: (HRNW) The bodies of a man and a woman were recovered from a residence in the Bilal Colony area of New Karachi on Monday. According to local police, the victims were a married couple who had both entered into a second marriage with each other.
Initial investigations reveal that the bodies are approximately two to three days old and had begun to decompose. Neighbors alerted the authorities after a foul smell emanated from the house, which was found locked from the outside. Upon breaking into the premises, police discovered both individuals with visible head injuries, suggesting they were struck with a blunt object or targeted in a violent assault.
The police have shifted the remains to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for a post-mortem examination to determine the exact cause and time of death. Investigators are currently looking into the couple’s background and potential motives, including domestic disputes or personal enmity related to their previous marriages. The Crime Scene Unit has collected forensic evidence from the site, and a formal case is expected to be registered following the medical report.
