KARACHI: (HRNW) In a somber development for the Sindh Police, DSP Ahsan Zulfiqar has embraced martyrdom today, Monday, March 23, 2026. The senior officer had been battling for his life at Liaquat National Hospital for several months after sustaining multiple gunshot wounds during a high-profile operation.
The incident occurred during a raid conducted by the Anti-Violent Crime Cell (AVCC) and the CPLC at the residence of Armaghan Qureshi, the prime suspect in the abduction and murder of 23-year-old Mustafa Amir. During the four-hour standoff at the suspect’s bungalow in DHA, Armaghan opened fire on the police team with modern weaponry, critically injuring DSP Zulfiqar and Constable Muhammad Iqbal.
