Karachi (HRNW) – The Meteorological Department has predicted monsoon rains in Karachi and various parts of Sindh, advising citizens and relevant authorities to remain alert.
According to the Meteorological Department, monsoon winds from the Bay of Bengal are expected to enter the upper and central parts of the country on July 29, while a westerly weather system is currently affecting northern areas.
The department stated that the weather system is likely to intensify further by August 1 and influence central and upper regions of the country, resulting in rainfall in several areas.
In Sindh, rainfall is expected from the night of July 31 until August 2. The Meteorological Department has forecast rain in Tharparkar, Badin, Sanghar, Mirpurkhas, Tando Allahyar, and Umerkot.
Rain is also expected in Karachi, Jamshoro, Sukkur, Qambar Shahdadkot, Nawabshah, Khairpur, and Thatta.
The Meteorological Department further warned that heavy rainfall may occur at some locations in Sindh on August 1 and 2, urging relevant departments to complete necessary precautionary arrangements.
