The Minister asserted that there will be no compromise on internet security and control, regardless of the financial cost. He stated that whether the rectifications require an investment of Rs. 40 billion or even Rs. 400 billion, the project will proceed as a matter of national priority. According to official sources, the government intends to use this infrastructure to mitigate social media threats and ensure the effective prevention of illegal digital content.
