Action Against Pakistan Steel Mills Thieves; One Suspect Arrested, Copper Recovered

Karachi (HRNW) — On the special directives of Dr. Khaliq Pirzada, the Bin Qasim Police Station carried out an effective operation against elements involved in theft incidents at the Pakistan Steel Mills, arresting one suspect.

According to police, the arrested suspect has been identified as Sohail Ahmed, son of Manzoor Ahmed, who was involved in stealing valuable metals from Pakistan Steel Mills.

During initial interrogation, the suspect revealed that he worked for the notorious thief Mukhtiar Lashari.

Police reported that on February 18, a Suzuki Hi-Roof van loaded with 400 kilograms of pure copper was taken into custody. During questioning, the suspect confessed that he, along with his accomplices, stole the copper from within the Steel Mills premises and loaded it into the vehicle.

Additionally, 25 kilograms of copper were also recovered during the operation.
A case has been registered under the relevant sections of law, and further investigation is underway, while raids are being conducted to arrest the remaining suspects.

SSP Malir Dr. Khaliq Pirzada stated:

“Strict action will continue against those damaging government property. No one will be allowed to take the law into their own hands.”
