Washington (HRNW) — Afghan national Sharifullah has been sentenced to 20 years in prison in the United States in connection with the deadly Kabul Airport bombing.
Sharifullah was arrested by Pakistani authorities and subsequently handed over to the United States, where he was transferred to face legal proceedings over the attack.
The case relates to the deadly blast at Kabul’s airport, which caused significant loss of life. Following the court’s decision, Sharifullah will serve his sentence under the US criminal justice system.
