Riyadh (HRNW)- Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is scheduled to pay a one-day visit to Saudi Arabia today, where he is expected to hold separate meetings with Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman.
According to the Turkish news agency Anadolu, the visit was confirmed by Burhanuddin Duran, Director of the Turkish Presidential Communications Directorate.
According to the report, President Erdoğan will discuss key regional and bilateral issues with the Saudi leadership during his visit, with his meeting with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman being regarded as particularly significant.
President Erdoğan is also expected to meet Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, during which both leaders are likely to discuss Pakistan-Türkiye relations, the regional security situation, and ongoing tensions in the Middle East.
Recent consultations among Türkiye, Pakistan, and Saudi Arabia on regional peace, diplomatic cooperation, and developments in the Middle East have intensified, making the high-level engagements among the three countries increasingly important in the context of regional diplomacy.
According to analysts, President Erdoğan’s visit may also include discussions on the Iran–United States tensions, the security situation in the Strait of Hormuz, and regional trade and maritime navigation.
Saudi Arabia continues to play a key diplomatic role in addressing regional challenges, while Türkiye has also remained actively engaged in diplomatic efforts aimed at resolving regional disputes and reducing tensions.
Experts believe that President Erdoğan’s meetings with the Saudi leadership and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif could provide important insights into the future direction of regional diplomatic and strategic cooperation.
