This decision, which takes effect tomorrow (Tuesday, March 24, 2026), marks the end of the temporary relaxation previously granted for the Ramadan and Eid-ul-Fitr shopping seasons.
The move is a central component of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s emergency “War Austerity Plan,” triggered by the ongoing conflict in the Middle East and the closure of the Strait of Hormuz.
