Gizri Police Arrest Suspect Involved in Aerial Firing; Vehicle and Weapon Seized

KARACHI: (HRNW) The Karachi South District Police has apprehended a suspect involved in an illegal aerial firing incident within the jurisdiction of the Gizri Police Station. The arrest follows a swift operation conducted under the directives of SSP South Mahzoor Ali.

Following the incident, the suspect had managed to flee the scene in a white Toyota Hiace. However, a police team led by the SHO Gizri utilized CCTV footage and modern investigative techniques to trace the vehicle and locate the perpetrator.

Details of the Arrest:

  • Suspect Identified: The arrested individual has been identified as Nasir Khan, son of Juma Gul.

  • Seizures: Police recovered the 9mm pistol used in the firing, along with three live rounds. The vehicle used for the escape, a white Toyota Hiace (Registration No. SB-6278), was also impounded.

  • Legal Action: Two formal cases have been registered against the suspect at the Gizri Police Station:

    1. FIR No. 133/26 under Sections 337-H(ii) and 23(i)A.

    2. FIR No. 134/26 under Section 23(i)A.

Police officials have reiterated their commitment to a zero-tolerance policy regarding aerial firing, emphasizing that such dangerous activities pose a direct threat to public safety and will be met with strict legal consequences.
